It was a warm summer's night right on the state line of Tennessee and Kuntucky. Honeysuckle overgrew on a chain link fence hiding a grassy yard behind it. You could still see the pale blue house that sat just behind the fence lighting bugs casting small lights around the peak of the roof. Johnny hiked up the gravel driveway from a small hole in the fence. He could still hear a laugh or a giggle in his head from the night at the carnaval.
On a beautiful summer's night just like this one the carnival came to town. Music played and people screamed in pure joy and excitement on the rides. It was the biggest event in that little po-hunk of a town and everyone attended it; there wasn't much to do otherwise. It started out as a normal night with turkey legs and funnel cakes. Carnies called for passer byers to come spend a few bucks on a game they had no chance of winning and clowns blew balloon animals at over the top prices. The memory of the popcorn smell in the air was fresher than the actual popcorn. Then there was her.
'You need to let it go kid' was what they told Johnny. He needed to get his priorities in check before he lost his head. Most people were scared he'd end up like his dad the neighborhood drunk. If he kept focus on the positive things he had going for him like school and a promising job in mechanics maybe he could out run the family's bad wrap. It was all fun and games until she died then everyone stopped telling him to 'let it go'.
Her blonde curls fell over her shoulders so perfectly you'd think she was in a movie. Her blue eyes looked like the stars in the sky that night. The way she walked you could tell she knew she had it all and wasn't afraid to show it. She was perfect a goddess to that young Johnny boy who'd gone through highschool without so much as a first kiss. He watched her often. He watched her walk to school and how she would laugh with her friends. He watched her get on and off the bus without a care in the world. He watched her that night as she jumped and screamed when a clown handed her a balloon. She was all he thought about. She was all he dreamed about.
'Johnny! Oh my god Johnny she's gone.' He could hear the frantic panic in his mothers voice but all he could think about was the clown. Johnny had walked that whole carnaval that night and every clown had a smile painted on their face except that one clown. A frown, he had a frown like he was intentionally trying to scare her. He also didn't have the same act like the others he was handing out just plain balloons not balloon animals. None of the carnies interacted with him either, at least not when Johnny was around.
Johnny approached her. 'Get lost loser!' she had screamed in his face as if she could just do that and get away with it. Johnny let her go. Did she not realize that? He let her go. He'd make it up to her by the end of the night. He'd show her a good time and they would laugh and she'd be calling him lover instead of loser by the end of the night. If not, well, he had his ways.
'She's dead Johnny! You took your eyes off her and now she's dead!' He was always blamed for everything. He wasn't a good boy so dad left. He didn't understand the material and failed so he was stupid. He didn't workout so he looked ugly. He was anti-social so something must be wrong with him. Everything was his fault. He didn't even say he would watch her but now it's his fault she ran off. He took his eyes off her one second just one second and she's gone forever and it's his fault! They didn't understand he already blamed himself. They didn't understand he actually cared about his sister. They didn't understand what she meant to him and how important she was to him.
Johnny approached her with flowers he found in the field next to the carnival. He would have gone to the store and bought some but he had to watch his little sister and he didn't trust walking so far with just her and him and nothing but a small blade. He stood in front of her with those flowers and she brushed him off. She walked past Johnny and he watched as her hair bounced in such a perfectly pronounced way it made him sick. He tried again this time offering his affection in words and all he received was 'Creep I just get lost.' It was the end of the night when he flicked his blade open and was about to approach her one last ditch effort to get her to notice him when it happened.
Jenny was gone.
Because of that stupid bitch Johnny took his eyes off his sister once one time and she had disappeared. He felt a rage in his stomach that caused bile to rise in his throat. The image of her standing in front of the crowd of people as his mother screamed her daughters name and made a scene made him sick. ‘Jenny!’ his mothers tone was terrifying and Johnny didn’t know what to do. Did he see something? Did he know what happened? He told her to stay next to the ferris wheel and they would ride once he was done helping that bitch cut the balloon off her wrist.
The whole night played back. The girl. The rejection. The clown. The ferris wheel. The clown. He remembered the clown.
Jenny leaned back on the barricade between the line and the ferris wheel to it. Her blonde hair pulled up into a hair tie and her blue eyes fixed on Johnny walking away. She resembled their mother more than her father. Johnny on the other hand looked like a spitting image of his pops who abandoned him and his mom. She was wearing overalls and a bright pink shirt under. Her face was painted to look like a butterfly and she was wearing white, no, pink converse with white tube socks. She smiled up at the frowning clown as he handed her a pink balloon, the only pink balloon he had.
‘Oh my god,’ Johnny could hear the terror in his mothers voice and the cry that escaped her was one only a mother could do after losing a child. Jenny’s body laid out in the field surrounded by sunflowers just like the ones Johnny picked earlier. If he hadn’t been distracted maybe she wouldn’t be there. Her body was mangled and in a suggestive position. Her eyes were open and blood shot probably from asphyxiation. Johnny remembered a time when he pinned her to the ground and she screamed bloody murder. He said he’d kill her but didn’t mean it. ‘My baby’
Johnny walked up to one of the windows of the blue house and peaked in. Blonde hair fell over her back as she pulled her pants up. She was beautiful standing with very little clothing on. When she turned around Johnny moved out of the sight closer to the house. Her brown eyes flickered in the dark and brought him back to the moment. They weren’t at the carnival. That wasn’t Jenny. That wasn’t even the bitch who took an important second from Johnny. After she walked away from the window Johnny peaked back in and saw the clown costuming hanging in the closet, the door to it barely hanging into its hinges.
The clown.
Johnny watched the girl leave the room and someone get out of the bed. ‘I’ll take you home.’ He gripped at the hatchet that hung off his pants. ‘Tell your folks you’re taking the bus tomorrow to school. I’ll pick you up at the bus stop’ Johnny gripped his hatchet tighter until his knuckles turned white. He watched the guy grab his keys from the dresser and a pocket knife.
Jenny laid on the ground covered in cuts from a knife.

Riiiiiiiiider Johnny says mockingly
Rider, Rider, Rider, Rider he's changed his tone to disappointment
Riding those tail coats of Slim Jens I never thought I'd see it. Johnny's voice starts out in a deep pitch before becoming high and enthusiastic. His head shakes ever so slightly with delight as he smiles.
Last time I checked you two were Batman and Joker now you're Batman and Robin? I thought there was a battle of good and evil going on between you too but now ohhhhhhhh now you're doing her dirty work? How did you, Ms. Jenny Myst can't beat me, end up being her lack-k-kie? Johnny's tongue clicks in the back of his throat making the Ks more pronounced.
How did you, YOU, Johnny boast loudly the great and wise Mandii Rider become soooooooo desperate that you had no other choice but to become friends with someone you hated. Abandon all your moral high ground just so you could end up being overshadowed by someone who couldn't even lick your wrestling boot just years ago. Is it because you need a break? Johnny cocks his head to the right side
Is it because in your old age you're becoming senile? Johnny cocks his head to the left
Is it alzheimers? Johnny concerningly bites at the tips of his nails.
He stands up with an animated sad frown on his face. Wanna know what I think? You can't cut it anymore. You don't got the guts for this industry. Johnny’s voice is a growl and the sadness in his eyes is gone as he scowls.
You want to live out those glory days one more time and the only way you can do that with just a few more victories under your belt is by teaming up with people you said weren't worthy of stepping in the ring with you.
Ohhhhhhh Johnny's voice is high pitched but in trying to live out those glory days you started repeating history. You became a statistic. First it was Marcus Haven throwing you around making you his bitch then it was Chris Chaos and now it's Jenny. Does she fuck better than the others?
Johnny covers his mouth like a schoolgirl with a secret giggling behind his hands.
You followed Haven around like a puppy and let him put you in your place and now you're letting tweedle dee and tweedle dumb do it. You know what your problem is? You wanna fit in. You wanna make friends. You want people to like you. You look for validation from others.
There is no other explanation why, Johnny's voice becomes progressively more whiny with each 'Why' why, why, why you decided to scrap the bottom of the barrel and join a team you called cowards. You came to a new company knowing only two people and decided to leach on them. Of course two people who have lost to you more than once are more than willing to let you join their club, but it's not because they like you, it's not because they want to be your friend it's so they can use you and then they'll toss you to the side like the washed up used cum towel you are.
Johnny frowns and rubs his eyes to signal crying.
And you let them. You let people use you. You enjoy it because it makes you feel important. Johnny speaks in a mocking tone. As long as at least one person wants me to be a part of the group then I’m still worth something. Johnny returns to speaking normally Remember all those things you said to Jenny that made her feel out of place and under appreciated? Well I'm about to do the same to you. Johnny sounds down right excited and giddy.
Johnny exchanges his high pitched happy tone for a more serious and matter of fact tone. You know why Chris keeps you around? You're easy. Low self esteem and a bad childhood can do that to a person. It's not your fault statistics don't lie. You know why Jenny keeps you around? You want a B.F.F. so bad and she needs someone to drive the getaway car. Someone who hasn't had friends or real life social interaction can't tell when someone is laughing at them not with them. Aaaaaaaaall that talent. Aaaaaaaaaall that brain power. Aaaaaaaaall that ability.
Johnny frowns like a sad clown painting And instead of asking you to throw hands they ask you to drive the getaway car. Not impressive. You know why they do that though? Because you put them in their place, kicked their asses and tore em a new one in and outside of the ring but turned around and asked to be in the group. They don’t see you as a threat no one does because of that oooooooooone little decision you made. That one little mistake just ruined your reputation and any credit you got. You proved they got one over on you that they’re better than you.
Johnny throws his hands in the air dramatically You'll boast to me about your accomplishments. You'll boats to me about your twenty years plus in the ring. You'll boast to me about your ability and how being big brained will earn you the win. Johnny rests his arms to his side and takes on a more serious demeanor but those accomplishments happened years ago. What about recently. What about in the last five years. Exactly. Out of those twenty plus years how many did you actually spend in the ring and how many did you spend licking your wounds. Takes you awhile to come back from a loss doesn't it.
Johnny drops the seriousness and scratches his head ape like. Big brain no work when skull is crushed. Big brain know how to get out of tough situations but body can't move the way it did years ago. Johnny switches back to ‘normal’ You'll tell me the trials you've been through and how you always came out on the other side victorious even if you didn't win, you learned something. What you haven't learned is how fragile the body becomes over time. You didn't learn that all that abuse you took in the ring made your healing time longer . Broken bones don't heal as quickly so you'll be out awhile after I snap yours. Tell Jenny and Chris to plan accordingly.
Britlyn Baylor didn't hire you because you can still wrestle. Johnny speaks in a growl that progressively becomes deeper. She didn't hire you because you have what it takes to be on top. She doesn't care about how well you can preform or Johnny takes on more of wine how you performed in the past. What was that saying Jenny used often? Your name put asses in seats that's why you're here not because you still have what it takes. Your name meant something, people flocked to it like sheep. But who wants to put effort into someone who's there one day gone the next? Who wants to make a champion out of someone who wins the belt then runs when they lose it because they can't take the heat of not being the best. Johnny smiles. Your ego inflated when people told you you were good but when you can't prove it you run and hide because your ego just can't take the loss. That's why Britlyn Baylor is doing the smart thing by giving you a couple of bites of cake but not giving you the whole slice. She's betting on you holding the Revival belt and never cashing it in because if you do you'll either lose and leave or you'll win and she's got to worry about you losing and not sticking around after to milk your name. Johnny laughs manically holding his belly You're the prized donkey promotions pull out when ratings are low or their roster is swiss cheese. Johny stops laughing and frowns. That doesn't make you good sweetheart it makes you eye candy to those old fans who remember the good old days of slutty valets and women wrestlers blowing their way to the top of the vagina crew. How's it feel taking a step back from the proverbial badass woman image you spent so many years building just to be right back where you started?
Johnny steps up to the camera so his face takes up the whole frame. He licks his lips loudly before whispering into the camera. And come Anarchy night when the fans are screaming your name all because of the person you used to be Johnny emphasizes the word ‘use’ I'm going to make you remember who you are in that ring. By the end of the night you'll be calling me Johnny speaks in a low seductive but menacing growl daddy because I'll be beating the ever living shit out of you and enjoying every second of it.
Johnny steps back laughing the scene fading on the following:
On a beautiful summer's night just like this one the carnival came to town. Music played and people screamed in pure joy and excitement on the rides. It was the biggest event in that little po-hunk of a town and everyone attended it; there wasn't much to do otherwise. It started out as a normal night with turkey legs and funnel cakes.
