“Teaming with Brooke has taught me a lot. Who woulda thunk it? Everyone thinks that I would have taught her so many things, but she has been in this game longer than I have, despite being younger than me. Perhaps in the ring, and managing her fear, I have. But she has taught me so much more than I thought possible. The number one thing? Trust. She taught me how to trust someone despite being a loner. Brooke has taught me that there is a world outside of the ring. That there is something besides pain and torment, that the world isn’t the terrible place people like Konstantine paint it to be.
Why does this matter? Why bother bringing it up?
Well, when you are in a tag team match, it is built on trust. You have to trust your partner, and trust that they will get the job done when its their turn. Do you really trust each other? Donnie Harris would run his own mother over if it got him ahead, and Kon only cares about causing pain at anyone’s expense. When it hits the fan, can either of you fall back on the other? Would Donnie or Kon pull the other out of danger?
I think we all know the answer to that.
Neither of you are good solo, but as a unit you’re beyond fractured. Donnie is going to learn at the Pay Per View what it means to be in the Main Event picture, and what it takes to be the World Champion. He will inevitably shit the sheets again, because that is what he does. Donnie Harris is unreliable to himself, much less having to be relied on by someone else. I see the fear in his eyes. For Donnie, it isn’t a fear of failure, because failure is all he does. For Donnie it is fear of winning, because it’s new to him. He fears what he doesn’t understand. Donnie has never been a winner, and when an opportunity to win is dropped in his lap he will run away from it instead of run towards it. That is just his nature. I see the fear of the limelight in his eyes, and when Brooke and I bring the heat tomorrow night he will fold like a tent.
But can he trust Kon to carry the load?
So far, the big man has proven that he is a tough customer, for sure. But all he knows is brute force, not the intricacies of a wrestling match. He knows how to injure, not how to win. Kon you came on the scene with a bang, but I am going to personally make sure you leave with a fizzle. I have seen plenty of guys just like you, even in my short time in wrestling, and they never last long. You are no exception.
The entire reason I do this is to win, and if you aren’t in it to win then you’re doing it wrong. You may be able to sleep well at night knowing you lost but you racked up the damage points, but this isn’t a video game it is real life. I can’t sleep knowing I didn’t do everything in my power to win. That is where we differ, and where Brooke and I hold the clear advantage. She wants to win just as badly as I do. Donnie knocked her around last week, but the good thing about Brooke–she always gets up whenever she gets knocked down. She learns from her mistakes, and the next time is always better. Neither of you learn from your mistakes, you just come to the ring and do what you do–lose–and then rinse it off and repeat.
Do you know the definition of insanity?
And they said I was the insane one!
Sheesh."
OOC: Sorry I couldn't do more, had a stupid busy week and partner had a medical emergency!
Best of luck to Donnie and Kon!
