History
Former military man Dakota Maddox suffers from PTSD (it being the reason he was discharged). He doesn't talk about his time in the military only that it was the worst time of his life but he'd do just about anything to go back to it. Both him and his brother joined at the same time but unfortunately his brother did not make it out alive and Dakota watched his brother die overseas. At the time, his wife was suffering from cancer and ended up passing away shortly after his return to the states.
Dakota refused to see anyone about his PTSD and the hole the loss of his wife made. He became a drunk and spent most nights at one of the veteran bars near his house. He kept to himself while doing odd end jobs until being approached by Vick Anderson a well known manager in the wrestling circuits. Because of Dakota's size Vick thought it would be easy to sell the big man to all sorts of companies and with Dakota having trouble making ends meet he wasn't going to turn down the offer.
Vick decided the best name for his client would be Casus because of his military background. He decided to label Dakota 'The Military Outlaw' but it never stuck so they decided just to use Casus. Casus would go on to become a world champion, television champion, heavyweight champion, king of the ring, and so many other types of champions.
In 2001 Vick Anderson died also of cancer leaving Dakota to fend for himself in the wrestling world. While he was fine on his own the death of Vick shook his world up again causing him to turn to drinking. He lost many matches and opportunities due to his drinking and almost gave up wrestling until his sister Ruddy stepped into Vick's shoes and started managing him. The two traveled companies together and Ruddy even tried her hand in the ring.
After an injury in 2010 Dakota stopping wrestling as much as he had before even taking large hiatuses up until recently. After returning to the ring a year ago he's managed to keep up with the changing times and continue his legacy which he plans to keep here in OCW.
