While most kids were out trick-or-treating for Halloween Evee was either at home or out training for her next meet. October had been just another month for her and Halloween was just another day. Things never changed once she turned 18 because most of the time she was still training but for wrestling instead.
Unfortunately, Evee didn't grow up with the excitement of holidays so when they came and went they were only days to her. Even while in school weeks taken off for holiday break were still filled with studying, training, and picking out her next pageant dress. Now that she was older those ways that had been drilled into her head still made the holidays just days.
As Halloween quickly approached, Evee was spending her time working out and bulking in order to go against the Monster they called Colossus. He is a huge man and her a small girl but she wouldn't let that sway her will to walk out the champion. Instead she was packing in more calories and protein and upping the weights at the gym. She even took on a few more matches at 'Underground' against larger opponents to help prepare her for the big guy.
She knew Colossus didn't work for this, he didn't care about any of it. He carried a championship like a fool with a crown who doesn't know how to be a King. She knew the only reason he hadn't been defeated and dethroned was because he took the easy way to victory. He was a large man of shortcuts because if told he had to lift a finger he would be exhausted. Evee has the skill and talent in order to be a champion, she's earned it. Colossus on the other hand was just large.
No skill, no talent, no work ethic, not even an ounce in his body deserves the championship. That's the unfortunate thing about wrestling and Evee knew it. You can work your finger to the bone, pour your blood sweat and soul into it, and in the end you might not get what you want. A lot of it had to do with luck. Did management like you? Were you going to be someone they could sell to the fans in order to fill the seats? There were so many things that went into being a champion that led people like Colossus to becoming one without earning it.
Evee was gorgeous. She was a conventionally attractive girl who might not be everyone's cup of tea but she was attractive in a generic sense which could draw people in. She worked her fingers to the bone anytime she entered a competition and always focused on the task at hand never diverting from whatever her goal was so she would be a determined champion. She was mean, nasty, and bitchy so most people stayed clear of her so she had no distractions. She didn't need someone to speak on her behalf because she had a mind of her own and a mouth ready to spout off to anyone who thought they could hold a candle to her. She did everything on her own and for herself.
Colossus could never.
Colossus could never put in the effort to be anything other than a big dumb dope who needs someone to lead him around as if he were a large dog. Colossus could never put work into something he loved because the only thing he loved was food in his mouth. Colossus would never be anything more than just another fat American sitting on the couch stuffing his face because it was easy. He was mindless, untalented, and a disgrace to the wrestling world.
As Evee worked her muscles in the gym her mind was pinpointing each and every weakness in the Monster. She was also considering the things that made him the champion he was such as his size and fat man strength. She was running circles around him in her head but in the end what happened in her head wasn't what would necessarily happen in her match.
Evee dropped the weights at her feet making for a loud thud to echo in the empty 24 hour gym. She put her hands on her hips breathing heavily trying to push the anger in her chest down enough to extinguish its flame. She was angry about letting herself down with a loss. She was angry with the fact that someone like Colossus was stomping around with something he didn’t work for. She was angry that this is what wrestling had come to.
A clear head was the only option she had in order to win this match. One common factor with all the previous opponents of Colossus was they were not clear minded which caused them to be foggy in the ring when it mattered most.
She wouldn't let that happen.
Cold, calculated, and ready for anything was the only way she had any chance of winning. Her years of training and the hard work she had already put into this federation lead up to this moment.
She takes a deep breath in and releases it.
"I'm ready," she spoke into the void as she assessed the sweat on her skin in the mirror.

"What's wrong Dick? Cat got your tongue or are you still putting Colossus through some stupid training again that won’t help him in our match? Instead of actually making him work or train you show how lazy he is. Are you taking him back to highschool where the popular girls made fun of his man boobs so he hates every blonde within a 10 mile radius in order to make him angry at me? That seems to be the only way you can ever get him to get the job done, until Johnny that is. I'm calling your bluff. The only reason Colossus has been so 'successful' up to this point is because you have to make him angry." A crew of camera men huddle around the future champion as she stands in front of a large mirror raising weights up to her chest. "The fuel you've given your 'Monster' is fuel that'll run out easily. I've spent my entire career building muscle, endurance, and training my mind to push my body past its limits. At the end of the day I am a champion while both of you are lazy."
Toxicita changes the movement of the weights to work another muscle as she continues. "Dick, you're just as lazy as your Monster. You wait until the last minute to give us some sort of training video that really has nothing to do with wrestling but has something to do with trying to prove a point, which never happens. The only point you make is Colossus doesn’t know how to train let alone wrestle. Most of the time your training is fools training and only happens once every two weeks. Then, you decide to speak once before you disappear into the sewer like the rat you are until just before your monster is to appear for a match. Both of you are a disgrace to this sport, the reason why people laugh at professional wrestling. You're two little boys playing a game with each other instead of doing your jobs." She rolls her eyes in annoyance.
"There is a new dawn coming for OCW, a new day for the company to become better. There's no room for people like Colossus being champions in the future of OCW or managers like Dick running around doing the bare minimum for their clients. A strong foundation has to be built and it's going to begin with me becoming a champion and propelling the company forward. It's time OCW turns around and becomes the apex of wrestling of today and the only way that can happen is if someone who isn't a lazy piece of shit is carrying the gold." Toxicita drops her weights to the ground and closes her eyes taking in a deep breath of fresh air. "Do you smell that? It's called hard work, it's called passion. I wouldn't expect you boys to understand but this is what it takes to lead a division, no, a company into the tomorrows of wrestling. I let my guard down once and it'll never happen again. I learned my lesson and at TCM I'm going to teach one of my own. You can't put the bare minimum into something and expect to be great. You have to keep striving for perfection if you want to be a champion."
Toxicita picks up a jump rope and begins her cardio as she continues. "One of Colossus biggest weaknesses is something I've already mentioned. He doesn't have enough fuel to keep going. Determination keeps me moving and gives me the fuel to wrestle. I make sure every week my body is in its prime state in order to put my talent and ability to use in the best possible way. All it'll take is making Colossus breathless with my ability to out run him, dodge him, and out perform him. After the cardio I'm about to put Colossus through he may just drop enough weight to no longer be considered morbidly obese." She smiles in the mirror. "But I doubt he'll last that long. Something I've noticed with other opponents to Colossus is they don't know where to hit him where it hurts. No, not starvation, well actually that's exactly where to hit him. Starve him of landing his marks and aim for the face." Toxicita laughs under her breath maliciously. "Everyone knows the story of David and Goliath. All it took was one pebble in the prime spot and down goes the giant. Colossus has a lot of fat and little muscle protecting his body but his face? Hit a nose at just the right position with enough pressure and you can knock someone out cold. Knock someone out at the beginning of a match and those three strikes are easy peasy lemon squeezy."
"A new champion is long overdue and with the new direction of OCW the time is now to have champions worthy of their title." Toxicita stops jumping and drops the jump rope. "Being fat isn't going to cut it anymore and relying on witty remarks from your manager won't keep you a champion anymore. Tis the season to conquer fear so conquer your fear of hard work and using your head to be more than someone's meal ticket." She brushes a piece of hair from her face as beads of sweat make their way down her cheek. "It's time the Rise World Champion stops being a participation trophy for the king of special ed and starts becoming a championship for a world class wrestling federation. Instead of having the face for man jugs represent the rest of us who are actual wrestlers we need someone who is a professional wrestler."
"Consider this upcoming championship match your just deserts Colossus because you'll finally get exactly what you and Dick deserve, a long drop and a sudden stop at the very bottom. I will leave TCM the Rise World Champion even if I'm carrying on my chest while being wheeled into the back of an ambulance."
Toxicita slides her thumb across her neck as a signal to cut the cameras.

A ding pings from Evee's cell phone and she looks at the notification. Just as expected, a last minute word vomit show from Dick.
Evee watches a few minutes before stopping the camera men from packing up completely, "we're not done yet."

"Oh you are so preDICKtable. I'm sorry Dick, are you admitting that the only thing that makes your monster great is his size? It sounds like to me you're jealous. Where's the Colossus shirts? Where are the Colossus cups? In the trash with the rest of your Monsters career. No one cares about your monster because all he has going for him is how big he is. Yes Dick, I have sexual appeal and that in part is why my merch flies off the shelves but the other reason is I can actually wrestle unlike Colossus. Everyone knows Colossus is big but is he anything else? No not really." Toxicia laughs with Malice. "It's pure gold that you are commenting on the size of someone's brain when you're monster can't speak in complete sentences. Colossus is big mad he only speak like two year old. How old is he again and he's just learning two word sentences? He's the definition of a man child."
"I doubt you'd know this because you seem to struggle with anything having to do with actual wrestling but no fan has ever pushed me to do anything. Money sales didn't earn me this championship match my previous wins did. Oh, what's that? 'Toxicita is a new comer to OCW but is supremely talented' bet you’ve never heard anyone call Colossus talented. I know it's hard to wrap your head around but this is wrestling not a pie eating contest nor is it a popularity contest. You can stand there and verbally bash everyone from the rosters to the fans and it won't matter because at the end of the day ability and talent are what really earns you the gold. By the way, what other championship has Colossus won? None, he's a one hit wonder and nothing more." Toxicita rolls her eyes. "You can spray paint shit gold but it's still shit. Just like you can toss a leotard onto a fat guy and call him a wrestler as long as he's big enough and stupid enough but that doesn’t make him champion material."
"Yes, I can make a man four times my size submit. Watch and learn. Small minds can never picture anything other than what they want to. You rely too much on size and not enough on intellect or really anything else. You keep betting on size while your monster stands next to you with his finger up his nose digging for gold. What else do you have aside from how big Colossus is? I've given you every reason why I'm better and you've only given me one reason why Colossus will walk out with his championship still. It’s time you realize your petty little boy insults and one track mind aren’t going to be enough to keep your monster a champion. It's time to kiss your reliance goodbye as well as your monsters championship.”
