-An interrogation room, complete with hanging light and cold aesthetic by way of a steel table and chairs, came into frame as the light was turned on. Donnie walks through the door into the room, carrying a folder with him; the folder had what looked like documents in it. And he looked every part the detective in a police procedural like Law & Order or NYPD Blue: white button-down shirt, sleeves rolled to the elbow, red and black stripes on his tie; black dress pants with a non-descript black leather belt and comfortable black loafers, freshly polished.
The camera seems to be seated in one of the chairs, as Donnie looms over the table, firmly placing the file folder on the table.-

So this is how things are going to be, are they? Let me say, for the record, that I love the fact that you’re back, Easton. Let’s face it: the place hasn’t been the same without a Dragon to slay. Sure, I’ve been able to take Alexandra to the cleaners and take her for what she’s worth, but it’s not the same without a good challenge. The last good challenge I had was BRADDOCK and me at At Justice For Brawl.
-Donnie takes the first piece of paper out, and it’s a picture of he and BRADDOCK in the aftermath of the match: both men bloody, with Donnie on the ground and BRADDOCK’s hand being raised.-
)Donnie Harris(
It was a hard night, but I regret nothing at all. I put my all into that match and my all wasn’t enough in the moment, and that’s all it took: one moment. It was a moment where I lost focus, just like last Battleground...
-Donnie pulls another image out of the folder, of York’s rollup, a handful of Donnie’s shorts, to steal the win.-
)Donnie Harris(
...where Britlyn used you as her cue to Justin York to take the shot and steal the win. Fine, whatever. I’ll fucking deal with Justin York later. Quite frankly, I’m not all that surprised. We’ve all been a little distracted, haven’t we?
-Donnie pulls out another picture: Easton’s last match in OCW, laid out by SYNN, pinned with a simple step by Donnie.-
)Donnie Harris(
But we both know how double-crosses work too.
-Another picture; this time, it’s both Donnie and Easton laid out with SYNN just... doing what SYNN does.-
)Donnie Harris(
She played us pretty well, but Britlyn, whose proclivities gave Justin an off and an on, had the last laugh when she stripped SYNN of the world title: a title I still plan on ripping off BRADDOCK’s broken, bloody body.
-Donnie places the last picture down: an artist’s rendering. It’s a facsimile of the picture of Donnie with his foot on Easton’s chest, but the only difference is that SYNN is nowhere to be seen, not at the moment. The camera focuses on it for a couple minutes.-
)Donnie Harris(
And you know that this is the future. You know that I have what it takes to do exactly what I spoke about: slay the Dragon. You’ve been gone a long time, Easton Alexander, and much has changed.
-Donnie starts pacing, his footsteps barely heard over the sound of the air conditioning in the room; the camera slowly pans to follow Donnie.-
)Donnie Harris(
From where I’m standing, you are just another cog returning to be put in its place. Luckily for you, that role has been handed to me, to welcome you back to Outcast Championship Wrestling. I will be more than happy to remind you of your place as well, because that’s why our... boss decided to book the match accordingly, and I will take my time. The best part is that none of these pictures will matter.
-Donnie slams his hands onto the table, making a decent noise in the room, and he throws the papers aside.-
)Donnie Harris(
You have no idea what has been going on, and I’ll be sure to educate you in the ways of how we do things now. I don’t care what you’ve been doing between then and now, but it won’t be anything close to the work I’ve been putting in since you decided to run away. I’ve been on top, fighting my way up and digging in to remain there; I didn’t have to sleep with the fucking boss to do it either! I rose through the damn ranks and earned my keep while you decided that you weren’t happy here and decided to try finding something better. Well, we all know how that ended, don’t we? You came crawling back, expecting your spot to be safe, sound and secure: not while I’m here!
-Donnie backs off the table, taking the spare chair and sitting down on it, leaning into the table with his hands folded.-
)Donnie Harris(
I got embarrassed at Battleground, all because of some lucky shot, no pun intended, and now I need to avenge that; I need to take my frustrations out on some poor, unfortunate individual who just happened to meander his way back into a contract here. Hey look, that just happens to be you! If you haven’t figured it out yet, I’m the one here to punish you for leaving, and I look forward to the practice, before I take my outrage out on Justin York, before I make the boss’ little boy toy suffer for his actions; I will be the one to break him, and, better yet, if the little fuck wins the Elevate title, I’ll wrest that from him too, and I’ll leave him in a puddle of his blood, sweat and tears, with nothing more than the fleeting memory of the boss’ pussy to console him.
-Donnie gets back up, the chair falling as he stands, and he goes back to pacing, burying his face in his hands before roughly wiping his face with them, sighing with a growl.-
)Donnie Harris(
I have to stay... focused on the here and now, and here, I’ve been given the opportunity to quash a feud; now, I’ve been given a real challenge, a challenge on par with SYNN and BRADDOCK, but that depends on whether or not you have the ring rust to show for your year away. It’s funny, with your finish being called the Cursed Night...
-Donnie picks the chair up, sitting back down on it, just in reverse now, staring the camera down.-
)Donnie Harris(
It will be a cursed night for you on the leap day this year: February 29th. However, you were cursed the minute you were put on the card, your name next to mine as if you will be able to do anything of note in the match. Sure, you’ll probably start strong, but they all start strong, Easton, but you know that, as time and the match go on, that strength begins to fade, to disappear, to wear away as the erosion begins to present itself. I have to keep bringing this up, dude, but you’ve been gone for a good while now; have you been keeping up, keeping fit, doing the work? Have you actually? I have to know, because this will either be a 5-star match or it will be a total squash, and I have no issues with either. My cardio hasn’t been truly tested yet. But Ashes 2 Ashes might be... a real test for me too.
-Donnie leans back, his hands on the back of the chair as he sits up straight.-
)Donnie Harris(
This is my first true title defense since beating Calaway; I’ve never been tested, been given a chance to defend the Anarchy title, but now, with you, there’s the opportunity to see exactly what kind of champion I am: no shenanigans, no tricks; just us, mano y mano. Like the match is being billed as, it’s an opportunity for us to show these new fans exactly what the old OCW was, especially with SYNN away from the ring the last couple months, focusing more on her PWA matches, but I’d love to see her try to deal with the workload I’m putting myself into. It’s more than what you did last year. I’m also in possession of the Outsiders’ Streaming Service title. It’s small potatoes, all things considered, but I’m treating it with the proper respect, because it is still a title; I am still a champion. But what are you? What of you?
-Donnie leans back and cracks his spine, sighing with relief as he leans in, his hands moving to the table, folding with fingers intertwined.-
)Donnie Harris(
You are a was, a has-been; a been-and-gone. If I could think of anything else to describe your current state of irrelevance, I would, but irrelevant is a damn good way to describe exactly what describes you as you are now. The only reason people know who the hell you are is because wrestling fans have a spectacular long-term memory bank. I know that, when SYNN shows up to save Brooke again, because our little “Daymare” is just a fleeting thought, the fans will pop too, but why would that matter? Well, maybe because SYNN will finally be able to show up for her fans, whether it’s her or Juniper doing the work; who knows by that time? I certainly won’t be saving Brooke; I have no stake in her growth or her career right now, and she hasn’t asked. I haven’t spoken to her since I have B.o.B. back me up against BRADDOCK, only for SYNN’s quarrel with Konstantine get in the fucking way! But you wouldn’t know any of this, would you, because you’ve been hiding for the better part of a year.
-Donnie sighs and shakes his head.-
)Donnie Harris(
Again, and in all seriousness, Easton, it’s good to see you back. You’ve been honestly missed by the fans and it’s great to see that you look like you’ve been taking care of yourself. It will be refreshing to be going up against you, like punching an old, broken-in bag, recognizing those spots where your fights have made the most impact, both in quantity and quality. However, missing you and facing you will be two very different things. I will shake your hand willingly, Easton, but that doesn’t mean that I’ll be nice. I will do anything and everything to win, except sleeping with the boss. If I get to do that, well, that’s just for fun, not for gain. I’m not going to hedge my bet like some Casino Kid did.
-Donnie gets to his feet and stretches, his eyes still locked on the camera as it follows his movements, upper body still solidly captured in the frame.-
)Donnie Harris(
I will be sure to work my hardest to remind you what it is to be an OCW wrestler, not some superstar that you’ve already been billed to be. You will be forced to understand how and why I was given the opportunities, cleanly, to elevate myself in the standings of the company, all the way to the number one contendership for the world title and all the way to winning the Anarchy Championship. I will personally show you how our farce of a match evolved to a career worthy of the chances I’ve been given, whether I dropped the ball or ran it to the end zone.
-Donnie starts to pick up the paper, placing the drawing of him standing over Easton’s body back on the table.-
)Donnie Harris(
Consider this a likely end to the story; sure, there is a chance that you’ll flip the script and the reverse will be true, but, from where I’m standing, this is definitely something to consider as the most viable and, again, likely finish. Only time will tell.
-Donnie opens the door and turns off the light to the room, the camera going black as Donnie leaves the room, closing the door and encapsulating the space in pitch black darkness.-
The camera seems to be seated in one of the chairs, as Donnie looms over the table, firmly placing the file folder on the table.-
