Her career had turned around since the last show. She since had been released from the local hospital after attempting to end it all. She was surprised that the doctors didnt send her to some institution but instead, cleared her to compete. But she knew she had apology to make to everyone for her actions.
“Before I begin, I feel like I need to explain myself, and this is coming right from my doctor. Last week, in this very situation, I let my last two losses get to me, which caused an emotional meltdown. I was feeling worthless. Like I didn’t belong on earth, until Brit and Jenny showed me that I do have people that care about me. I wasn’t thinking clearly and for that I apologize. These things happen to me from time to time.”
She was trying to collect herself and was doing okay at it. But part of her wanted to have a breakdown right now but she had to stay strong for the people watching at home. For herself and her two sisters, Starlee and Eliana, who were her strength, and for her girlfriend, Kristen, who was also strength to her.
“But last week, I got a win, which made me realize that I do belong in pro wrestling and that I need to embrace my career, win or lose because it’s not going to last forever. So from here on out I’m going to try, for all of you and those who care about me, to take time to appreciate it more.”
But she also had many friends from her school days that were still on her side, that she still saw, when she was back in Denton. She came from an area rich in wrestling history and wanted to be another Dallas area wrestler that became a champion, like her heroes, the Von Erichs. She had seen reruns of their matches, via ESPN Classic, and youtube videos. She had seen The Iron Claw. She looked up to them and had even met Kevin and Lacey. She had met Marshall and Ross. She went to school with them.
“But as for my opponent, fact is, I’m not impressed. I’ve seen matches of her in other companies, and she’s nothing but a wholesale ripoff. I’ve seen this character on someone else and somewhere else. Where and who else, I can’t say, possibly for copyright reasons. But I am going to say one thing. No matter who she is or who she wants to be, she’s going in with someone on an emotional whirlwind. While I’m still feeling like I don’t belong here, I also want to prove to myself that I do belong.”
Karli had not only brains but a great sports background. She had been cheerleader in school and a gymnast. She played basketball, despite only being 5’2”. She had an amazing three point shot, among other things, that made her an often overlooked guard because of her size.
“I want to prove to everyone here that I belong. That first loss hit me hard, as did the second one. But I’m not going to live in the past any longer. It’s about the future and mine is bright. I know this now after a talk I had with Jenny Kay, who trained me and relit my confidence. She was the reason I’m still in the company as I wanted to walk on the company and on life as a whole before she and Britlyn showed me otherwise.”
She was just happy she was being herself again. She felt like she wasn’t herself last week and wanted to move past it and this promo was being used for that. She wanted her career back on track and this promo was step one on that road to recovery.
“And this week, its the first step on my road to emotional strength and recovery, with a win over Constance Amendola. For me but more so for my friends and fans that care about me. I want, no will win this for all of you. I want you all to know that even when things aren’t going right, you guys, just like me, are not failures. Someone out there loves you and wants to see you at your best. Just remember to keep motivated and finish what you start. Good luck, Constance.”
She said, standing a turning back flip, and not losing her glasses in the process. She had an elastic band around the back which was how they stayed in place. As she finishes, her braces shimmer in the light as the scene fades off.
